HINKLER | OPEN TO EXTRAORDINARY
Hinkler is an independent Australian publisher and in 2020 they were looking to boost the sales of School Zone books with a new out-of-the-box back to school campaign.
Tasked with breaking the old listing-the-functional-facts mould, we came up with an emotion-led campaign that urged little learners and their families to ‘Open to Extraordinary’. The concept itself was underpinned by ‘curious’ messaging and a mix of 2D and 3D animation that together literally brought the worlds of School Zone to life on screen – representing the wonderful futures open to those who open School Zone books.
The final campaign involved a 30-second hero video, social ad units and still photography, together painting a picture of what’s possible if children maintain resilience and motivation for learning, regardless of the hurdles they’ve faced in 2020.
